Allan Nacpil, chef by profession, didn't set out to be a photographer but believed camera has found him. Since he was young, he had always been drawn to visual arts like painting and drawings but had forgotten this passion when he shifted his career in the kitchen. He rekindled his love for the arts by discovering photography in Singapore and has been exposed to evocative color photography styles. These influenced Nacpil to venture in this field and take colors in a whole new level which are strongly evident in his works.
Best known for his portrait photography, he also covers weddings and product shoots for marketing collateral. His works have been featured numerous times in magazines and television.
He enjoys sharing his craft through organizing workshops in the Philippines, Singapore, Japan and other Asian countries to teach basic to advanced photography techniques to enthusiasts and freelance photographers. He inspires his students to shoot from the heart and capture the fleeting beauty in that fraction of a moment.
